Flowers.  Red or Pink punctuated with pale spots in small dense clusters surrounded by brown bracts.

Flowering period.  May - Aug.

Habitat.    Dry grassy or stony places, open scub. Mainly calcareous soils.

Regions in France.   Probably all. (Also used as a garden plant).

Protection in  France.   Regional protection Isère.
